The November shipments reading, at 1.004, fell 7.6% annually, in line with October’s 7.8% annual decline, and November expenditures, at 3.163, decreased 1.2% annually and were down 0.2% compared to October.

The October shipments reading, at 0.997, was down 7.8% annually, and the October expenditures reading, at 3.169, decreased 0.2% annually.

The report’s first quarter shipment index value, at 75.4, fell 5.8% compared to the fourth quarter 2024, its 11th consecutive sequential decrease, and was off 13.8% annually. First quarter freight spend, at 177.8, fell 2.5% compared to the fourth quarter and was down 8.6% annually.

The March shipments reading, at 1.054, fell 3.5% annually and was flat compared to March, and March expenditures, at 3.163, increased 2.8% compared to February and were off 2.0% annually.

The February shipments reading, at 1.054, fell 5.5% annually and increased 10.5%, from January to February. February expenditures, at 3.078, decreased 4.6% annually and increased 3.6%, from January to February.

The January shipments reading, at 0.954, fell 8.2% annually and was off 5.3% compared to December. January expenditures, at 2.971, fell 4.2% annually and dropped 4.8% compared to December.

The report’s fourth quarter shipment index value, at 80.1, was down 4.7% compared to the third quarter and was off 15.7% annually. Fourth quarter freight spend, at 182.4, was off 2.2%, from the third quarter to the fourth quarter, and fell 22.0% annually. This was below the 186.6 third quarter reading.

The October shipments reading, at 1.081, fell 2.4% annually, following a 5.2% annual decline in September. Expenditures, at 3.175, fell 5.9% annually.
