ATA reported that its October advanced Seasonally Adjusted (SA) For-Hire Truck Tonnage Index, came in at 111.9 (2015=100), following September’s 114.3 reading and was down 1.8% annually and is flat year-to-date through October. This followed respective 1.1% and 0.9% gains in July and August.
Following respective 1.1% and 0.9% gains in July and August, ATA reported that its September advanced Seasonally Adjusted (SA) For-Hire Truck Tonnage Index saw a 0.9% decline, coming in at 114.2 (2015=100).
The August reading of the ATA’s advanced Seasonally Adjusted (SA) For-Hire Truck Tonnage Index came in at 115.3 (2015=100), topping July’s 114.3 reading by 0.4% (July was upwardly revised), following a 0.5% July gain. Through the first eight months of 2025, ATA said that SA For-Hire Truck Tonnage is up 0.1%.
The July reading of the ATA advanced Seasonally Adjusted (SA) For-Hire Truck Tonnage Index came in at 113.7 (2015=100), a 0.6% gain on the heels of a 0.7% June decline.
