Vision Checks - Walkaround Reporting

This feature supports operators with their defect management ensuring vehicles are in good working order when they leave their base of operation. It is important to note that both the operators and drivers are responsible for ensuring the safety of vehicles.
Setting up walkaround check contacts
You can set up users to receive notifications by email if defects have been found during a walkaround check. You can only add a walkaround check contact if they are already a Vision user.
You will need to add the contact to each location that they have responsibility for.
To set up contacts go to “Manage Locations”

Select the location you want to assign the contact to:


Select Contacts and Add New Contact:

Select Walkaround Checks from the options provided and then select the users that you would like to receive emails for that location and “Save”:

Email notifications
When a walkaround check is completed, the contact will be emailed to advise that it contains defects.

Log into Vision and click “View Report” which will take you to the “Sign Off Defect” section:

In addition, defects will also be displayed on the “walkaround checks with defects” alert:

Click the alerts, and then select the link to get to the defect section:


If you would like to receive emails for every Walkaround check regardless of whether they have defects, click your username and select Profile & Settings:

Select Preferences and switch “Receive all walkaround emails” to on:

Please note, this is a user setting so would have to be activated on the individual user’s account
Signing off Defects
Once you have accessed the Defect page, and the issue has been rectified or it has been established that it is not something that needs fixing, click “Sign off Defect”





Once completed select Sign off defect. Continue until all defects are signed off for that check:

If you have added the additional level to sign each check regardless of defects, this will only become available when any defects raised have been dealt with:

- Driver and Vehicle profile



When downloaded the report will give full details of the check:

Within “Self Service” reports you will see a group called Check Reporting:

Any of these reports can be scheduled and emailed to you
In addition, you have access to the Walkaround Dashboard that will give you detailed results of all your data in simple table and graphical formats:
