USTR finalizes changes to China tariffs

The Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) has finalized updates to tariffs on Chinese imports following a review of China's trade practices. The modifications largely adopt proposals announced in May 2024 and are designed to protect American businesses and workers from unfair practices, including forced technology transfer and industrial espionage. The plan was originally expected in late August before it was extended to September.
