A new global study from Manhattan Associates reveals that companies are excited about leveraging AI to manage transportation, but many are still not ready. The report, based on a survey of 1,450 senior leaders across manufacturing, retail, wholesale, and food sectors, highlights big challenges—especially around data quality, system integration, and hiring skilled workers.
“Transportation is the backbone of supply chains, essential to ensuring goods are delivered on time to meet customer expectations,” said Bryant Smith, Director of Transportation Management Systems at Manhattan Associates.
But supply chains are getting more complex. Companies are dealing with tighter delivery windows, rising costs, and tougher sustainability rules. At the same time, they want better visibility into their operations and more control when problems pop up.
