Hacebaga currently serves as POLB Chief Operating Officer. He has been at POLB for the last 15 years in various senior management roles, and in his current position he oversees daily operations, including commercial services, engineering, finance and administration, planning and environmental affairs, and strategic advocacy.  

POLA reported that October volume, at 848,431 Twenty-Foot Equivalent Units (TEU), fell 6.25% annually, and POLB reported that October volume, at 839,671 TEU, fell 14.9% annually, compared to October 2024, the port’s strongest month on record in its 114 years of operations.

POLA reported that total volume, at 958,355 Twenty-Foot Equivalent Units (TEU), saw a 6% annual increase. The Port of Long Beach reported that August volume, at 901,846 TEU, was off 1.3% from its August 2024 record, while still posting its second-best volume August on record, as well as its sixth-busiest month in port history.

POLA reported that total July volume, at 1,019,837 Twenty-Foot Equivalent Units (TEU), increased 8.5% annually, marking the highest-volume month in the port’s 117 years of operations. The Port of Long Beach reported that total July volume, at 944,232 TEU, rose 7% annually, setting a new July record, topping the previous high set in 2024, while posting the third-highest tally, for any month, on record for the port.

POLA reported that total June volume, at 892,340 Twenty-Foot Equivalent Units (TEU), posted an 8% annual gain, marking the highest-volume June in the port’s 117 years of operation. June Port of Long Beach volume, at 704,703 TEU, fell 16.4% annually.

Total May volume, at 639,160 TEU (Twenty-Foot Equivalent Units), fell 8.2% annually, reported POLB. Imports, at 299,116, fell 13.4% annually, and exports, at 82,149 TEU, were off 18.6%. Empty containers saw a 3.2% annual increase, to 257,895 TEU.

POLA reported that total April volume, at 842,806 Twenty-Foot Equivalent Units (TEU) increased 9.4% annually, for its third-best April on record. Total April POLB volume, at 867,943 TEU, marked a 15.6% annual gain, for the port’s strongest April in its history, topping April 2022 by 5.7%.

POLA reported that total March volume came in at 778,406 Twenty-Foot Equivalent Units (TEU), for a 4.7% annual gain, and the Port of Long Beach reported that total March volume, at 817,457 TEU, increased 25% annually.

POLA reported that total volume, at 801,938 TEU (Twenty-Foot Equivalent Units), marked a 2.5% annual increase. The Port of Long Beach reported that total February volume, at 765,385 TEU, increased 13.4% annually.

Keeping in line with its myriad sustainability initiatives, the Port of Long Beach (POLB) recently announced it has rolled out two new incentive-based programs, for a cumulative $57.4 million, focused on accelerating emissions reductions through the purchase of zero-emissions cargo handling equipment and cleaner harbor craft.

POLA reported that total January volume, at 924,245 TEU (Twenty-Foot Equivalent Units), increased 8% annually. And the Port of Long Beach reported that total January volume, at 952,733 TEU, rose 41.4% annually.

The Port of Long Beach reported that total December volume, at 861,006 TEU, increased 21.3% annually, setting a new December record, topping December 2020 by 5.5%.
