Total April volume, at 1,559,593 units, posted a 7.1% annual gain. Trailers continued a longstanding decline, falling 22.5%, to 37,392, and domestic containers, at 707,015, increased 6.2% annually. All domestic equipment, which is comprised of trailers and domestic containers, at 744,407, was up 4.3% annually. ISO, or international containers, at 815,186, rose 9.8% annually.
