Continuing to grow its final mile services offerings through acquisition, Lowell, Ark.-based trucking and intermodal services bellwether J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. announced today that its subsidiary, J.B. Hunt Transport Inc. has acquired the assets of Mass Movement Inc.

The company announced that its subsidiary, J.B. Hunt Transport Services, acquired the assets of South Easton, Mass.-based RDI Last Mile Co. on December 31, 2019. A purchase price was not disclosed, but company officials said that the acquisition was funded using J.B. Hunt’s existing revolving credit facility.

Earlier this week, JDA Software Inc., a provider of AI-driven supply chain management services, and freight transportation services provider J.B. Hunt said they are meshing their respective flagship offerings, with the integration of JDA’s Supply Chain Management (SCM) platform-which provides business planning, execution, delivery and workforce solutions, with AI and machine learning to better predict prevent disruptions, and J.B. Hunt 360, a digital freight matching platform.

Following an early January announcement in which it said it entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Secaucus, New Jersey-based Cory’s First Choice Home Delivery, Lowell, Ark.-based trucking and intermodal services bellwether J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. said today that acquisition is now complete.

Through this collaboration, J.B. Hunt will integrate project44’s advanced visibility platform into J.B. Hunt 360, its proprietary marketplace, which connects shippers and carriers using data to match freight with capacity, pairing the right load with the right carrier to create efficiency and cost savings.

In August, J.B. Hunt launched Perks – a rewards program available to carriers and their drivers who use the company’s J.B. Hunt Carrier 360 digital freight platform.
