Trucking: Truckload spot market in June has a record month, says TransCore
Spot market truckload volumes in June were the second-highest ever recorded in 2011 and in the 15 years they have been tracked by TransCore, the company recently reported.

Trucking news: TransCore says April spot market is down from March, up year-over-year
The truckload spot market in April was down 14 percent from April but showed a 12 percent annual gain compared to April 2010, said TransCore officials. They added that freight volumes in the South and Midwest regions of the U.S. were impacted most by the weather.

GE Capital Transportation Finance survey portends favorable outlook for trucking market
At a time when trucking market conditions are experiencing tight capacity, increasing fuel costs, and slow and somewhat steady volume gains, one of the survey’s main takeaways was that 71 percent of respondents believe that business conditions will improve in 2011 compared to 2010, with 22 percent expecting things to remain the same and 3 percent expecting them to get worse.
