U.S. Chamber of Commerce-led letter to USTR reiterates support for USMCA

The letter added that USMCA ensures U.S. manufacturers, farmers, and service providers can continue to access the Canadian and Mexican markets, while also noting that it guarantees that virtually all U.S. exports enter these markets tariff-free, while also helping American companies and their employees compete in the country’s top two export markets.
C.H. Robinson expands El Paso operations with 450,000 square-foot facility to meet rising Mexico trade demand

Taking steps to further expand its United States-Mexico border operations and presence, Eden Prairie, Minn.-based global third-party logistics (3PL) services provider and freight forwarder C.H. Robinson said this week it has added more than 450,000 square-feet of warehousing and cross-border docking space in El Paso, Texas, which it said brings the company’s U.S.-Mexico logistics footprint to more than 2 million square-feet.

And they added that the respective ILA and USMX negotiating committees will meet in New Jersey, in hopes of coming to terms for a new Master Contract Proposal that can be presented to the full ILA Wage Scale Committee for approval, and later to ILA Longshore workers for ratification.
