Industry Night

MHI’s staff and Board of Governors will present Industry Night with comedian Colin Jost on Wednesday, March 13, from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m., in Thomas Murphy Ballroom Building B, Level 5. Event tickets are available at Attendee Registration during the show.

A portion of ticket sales will be donated to the Material Handling Education Foundation Inc. (MHEFI). At the event, MHI will also hold a silent auction to benefit MHEFI.

During Industry Night, MHI’s CEO will present its Innovation Awards in three categories: Best New Innovation, Best Innovation of an Existing Product and Best Information Technology (IT) Innovation. This year, participating startups will also compete for an MHI award that will be judged by a non-MHI jury. This “Best Startup Award” is separate from the Innovation Awards.

Women in the Supply Chain industry forum

MHI is partnering with Material Handling Equipment Distributors Association and the Warehousing, Education and Research Council (WERC) to bring an afternoon of discussion, education, and networking for women in the industry on Monday, March 11 in the Georgia Ballroom, Building C, Level 3 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

In an interactive workshop let by Shunta Grant, “Time Management: Seasons of Work and Life,” you can learn how to identify and honor the current season of work and life. You will learn how to define your current boundaries, get clarity on who you are and what you want in this season, and create boundaries that minimize distractions and discontent. This workshop comes with a digital workbook for each participant.

Grant is committed to helping humans transform how they plan, schedule, work and live. Featured by Forbes and Essence, Shunta is the founder of Best Today, a wellness-tech company that helps customers worldwide to harness the power of proaction and intentionality to live healthier, more intentional lives.

MHI Young Professionals network reception

This year, MHI has taken the Modex 2024 young professionals event up a notch by holding it at Terminus 330, where attendees can unwind and meet other young professionals in style.

A short walk from the Georgia World Congress Center, the event will feature a DJ, heavy appetizers and drinks. The venue features a rooftop terrace and a speakeasy space. Mary Alyson Ammons, MHI’s manager of member engagement, says the offsite event provides an “elevated experience” for attendees, most of whom are under the age of 40 and working in the materials handling and supply chain industry.

“We’re hoping to attract more young professionals both to the show and to our events, to help illustrate that this is an important audience for MHI and for our industry as a whole,” says Ammons. The event is primarily focused on networking and on getting younger professionals to break out of their shells and talk to people who share their values, challenges and aspirations.

The MHI Young Professionals Networking Event will take place Monday, March 11th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event will be held at Terminus 330 (a short walk from GWCC).
