Echo Global Logistics opens up new Kansas City office

Chicago-based 3PL Echo Global Logistics recently announced it has officially expanded its Kansas City presence, with the opening of a new and larger office space.

The new office is located off of I-435 in Overland Park, Kansas, with Echo officials noting that it was modeled after the company’s Chicago-based headquarters. Echo added that the new office is comprised of modern, tech-enabled conference rooms, dedicated huddle spaces, individual phone rooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a game room—which Echo said creates a workplace that balances productivity and employee engagement. And it added that the open floor plan “promotes teamwork, energy, and Echo's core values, reinforcing the company's commitment to cultivating a strong culture.”

An Echo spokesperson told LM that the company had been planning this new office for about 18 months.

“The previous lease was expiring, and we saw it as a perfect opportunity to expand,” she said. “The success of the team and the need to modernize and enhance the space were driving factors. Echo will sell its full suite of services out of the KC office. We currently have 50-60 reps with opportunity to expand to 100. This space will provide us an opportunity to host business meetings with our clients as well as give our reps the technology and amenities to provide world class services to our clients.”

Dave Menzel, President and Chief Operating Officer at Echo, said that it is exciting to open a new office that reflects both the growth of Echo’s Kansas City team and the company’s commitment to providing a best-in-class workplace.

“All of our locations across North America play a critical role in supporting our clients and carriers, and this new space enables our Kansas City team to continue delivering exceptional service while enjoying a vibrant and engaging work environment,” said Menzel.
