A. Duie Pyle opens up new West Virginia-based LTL facility

West Chester, Penn.-based freight transportation and supply chain services provider A. Duie Pyle said this week it has opened up a new less-than-truckload (LTL) service center in Bridgeport, West Virginia, representing the company’s fifth facility opening in 2025, as well as its 33rd service center.

The new Bridgeport service center, which is located at 6399 Saltwell Road, Bridgeport, W.Va. 26330, is comprised of 3.3 acres and 24 LTL service center doors, with the company saying it provides its shipper customers with enhanced access to its comprehensive suite of supply chain solutions and also strengthens the company’s presence in West Virginia in various ways, including direct service coverage, eliminating potential delays and complications associated with dependence on interline carriers. And it added that through this location, A. Duie Pyle “has full control of all West Virginia shipments from end-to-end, ensuring faster, more reliable transit times and improved consistency and quality of service for customers across the region.” 

John Luciani, COO of LTL Solutions, for A. Duie Pyle, told LM that the decision to open a new facility in Bridgeport, West Virginia, was driven by the company’s continued commitment to meeting the evolving needs of its customers and enhancing its regional network. And he added that A. Duie Pyle began servicing West Virginia in 2022, but it established its first physical presence in the state in 2023 with the opening of an LTL facility in Charleston.

“West Virginia represents an important growth opportunity for us as we expand our footprint into the heart of the state,” he said. “By strengthening our physical presence here, we can provide more direct, reliable and efficient service to both our existing and new customers. This expansion improves our ability to offer flexible and timely delivery options, ensuring that our network is fully integrated across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.”

When asked what the main shipper customer benefits of this new facility are, Luciani explained that with this expansion, A. Duie Pyle has full state direct service to all points in West Virginia, eliminating dependence on interline carriers, noting that this gives the company full control of all West Virginia shipments from end-to-end, mitigating potential delays and complications, promising faster, more reliable transit times and improving consistency and quality of service for its customers across the region.

In terms of personnel, he said that the Bridgeport facility has seven employees to start, including three pickup and delivery drivers, one linehaul driver, two leaders and one salesperson.

“By the end of 2025, we’re expected to bring on five additional employees, including three more pickup and delivery drivers and two additional linehaul drivers,” he said.

And A. Duie Pyle has opened two LTL service centers since the start of 2025, located in Camp Hill, PA and Erie, PA, according to Luciani.

“We also opened a warehouse in Charlotte, NC and a fleet maintenance facility in Richmond, Virginia this year,” he said. “We plan to open service centers in Columbus, OH, Toledo, OH and Rochester, NY during the month of July 2025. We also expect to open a service center in Cincinnati, OH before the end of 2025.”
