UPS inks major renewable natural gas deal with Clean Energy
In its most recent example of maintaining a keen focus on supply chain sustainability, global transport and logistics bellwether UPS announced today that it has inked a deal with Clean Energy Fuels Corp. to purchase 170 million gallon equivalents of renewable natural gas (RNG) through 2026. UPS said this represents the “largest commitment for use of RNG to date by any company in the United States, with a range of 22.5-25 million gallon equivalents per year.

Clean Energy opens up another natural gas fueling station
The company said that this new natural gas station enables heavy-duty LNG truck fueling along the transcontinental Interstate 10 highway between Los Angeles, Calif., and Houston, Texas, with other stations opened or currently under construction in an effort to support Clean Energy’s portfolio of natural gas customers in the heavy-duty trucking, refuse and ready-mix market segments.

Clean Energy Fuels Corp inked a multi-year bulk fueling agreement in which it will supply liquefied natural gas (LNG) to two Texas-based private stations owned by transportation and logistics giant UPS in Mesquite and Houston and also will open three of its America’s Natural Gas Highway stations in Amarillo, Mesquite, and San Antonio, Texas to support the UPS over-the-road fleet.

Clean Energy sets sights on building an LNG terminal in Jacksonville
In another sign of the emerging—and potential—role of natural gas in freight transportation, , Clean Energy Fuels Corp., the largest provider of natural gas fuel for transportation in North America, said late last month that it aims to build a Jacksonville, Fla.-based liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal.
Saddle Creek, Clean Energy ink ten-year strategic partnership agreement
