We certainly don’t need remind anyone that the parcel shipping environment has become pretty complex over the last few years. What was once a cut-and-dried formula for shipping lighter, smaller boxed items to customers has become more expensive and complex.

At the same time, the rapid uptick in e-commerce sales and the fact that more customers are shopping from home has pushed companies to rethink how they manage their fulfillment, packaging and shipping processes. And with rising volumes and soaring rates, automated, fit-to-size packaging is becoming top of mind for many logistics professionals.

In this podcast, group editorial director Michael Levans is joined by Sean Webb, Director of Sales and Service at Sparck Technologies, in a discussion that explores some of the overall challenges facing logistics managers running fulfillment environments and then dives into a few automated packaging trends that are helping shippers streamline operations during these trying times.
