Westchester, Penn.-based freight transportation and supply chain services provider A. Duie Pyle said this week it has opened up a new Erie, Pa.-based facility.
This comes on the heels of the company announcing earlier this month that it had opened up a new Camp Hill, Pa.-based service center.
This represents A. Duie Pyle’s second expansion in 2025, bringing the total number of its facilities to 32, with the company noting these new facilities are key aspects of steps the company is taking to expand its network in the Northeast. And the company added that the opening of this new facility increases customer access to its various services, including LTL (less-than-truckload), dedicated, warehousing & distribution, and brokerage services.
What’s more, the company said that with two service expansions in Pennsylvania already this year, it is set to create new opportunities and maintain a competitive edge in the LTL market.
“These expansions highlight Pyle’s dedication to supporting ongoing growth in its home state, where the company was founded over a century ago,” it said.
The new facility is located at 3111 McCain Avenue., Erie, PA 16510 and is comprised of 16 LTL service center doors on 3.1 acres. The company said it is strategically positioned to offer customers more flexible delivery and pick-up services in the Erie, Pennsylvania, and Jamestown, New York areas. Upon its opening, A. Duie Pyle said the facility added seven drivers, four freight handlers and two leaders, for a total of 13 new jobs. By the end of this year, A. Duie Pyle said the Erie location is projected to have more than 25 employees.
“At A. Duie Pyle, we constantly seek growth opportunities not only to meet, but exceed customer demands and enhance service efficiency,” said John Luciani, COO of LTL Solutions at Pyle. “Establishing a presence in Erie will allow us to better serve our customers' evolving needs, drive economic growth and create new job opportunities for the local community.”
